1. Introduction
SHARKBBAG respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal information when you visit sharkbbag.com, browse our fashion bags, place an order, contact us, or otherwise use our online store and related services, collectively referred to as the Services.
Our primary market is North America. Your rights depend on your location, the circumstances of the processing, and whether the relevant privacy law applies to our business. Nothing in this policy limits rights that applicable law gives you.
This policy provides information about our practices; simply visiting our website does not constitute consent to processing that legally requires a separate affirmative choice.

SHARKBBAG is responsible for the personal information processing it determines. Certain service providers also process information for their own purposes, as explained below.
3. Personal Information Covered by This Policy
Personal information is information that identifies you, relates to you, or can reasonably be linked to you or your household. Depending on your interaction with us, it can include:
- Contact and delivery information: your name, email address, billing address, shipping address, and telephone number when provided for an order or delivery.
- Order and transaction information: products selected, order numbers, purchase amounts, discounts, payment status, delivery details, and return or refund records.
- Account information: account identifiers, saved contact details, preferences, and account activity if you use a customer account.
- Communications: messages, order-related photographs, attachments, and other information you send when requesting assistance.
- Technical and browsing information: IP address, browser and device characteristics, cookie identifiers, referring pages, pages viewed, shopping-cart activity, timestamps, and approximate location inferred from technical information.
- Preferences and related inferences: product interests, language choices, marketing preferences, and interests inferred from permitted browsing or purchase information.
- Voluntary submissions: reviews, feedback, survey responses, or photographs if you choose to submit them through an available feature.
We do not require every category for every interaction. For example, an order requires delivery information, while a general product question may require only an email address and your message.
4. Where Information Comes From
We receive information directly from you when you shop, contact us, or make a voluntary submission; automatically from your interaction with the Services; and from providers involved in an order or website operation.
These providers may include Shopify, payment providers, delivery companies, fraud-prevention providers, and technical service providers. Where enabled and permitted, analytics and advertising services may also supply information about referrals, campaign interactions, or purchases attributed to an advertisement.
If you provide another person's information, such as a gift recipient's delivery address, provide it only when you have an appropriate basis to do so. We use that information for the requested service and related lawful purposes.
5. Why We Use Personal Information
Our core processing purposes include accepting and managing orders; arranging payment and delivery; providing receipts and order updates; handling returns, refunds, and customer questions; maintaining customer accounts where available; protecting the store against fraud and misuse; and keeping records required for accounting, taxation, disputes, and other legal obligations.
We also use information to identify technical problems and maintain the availability and reliability of the Services.
Optional purposes may include sending promotional messages, understanding product interests, measuring advertising performance, personalizing recommendations, and displaying relevant advertisements. These activities depend on the features in use, your choices, and applicable requirements for consent or opt-out rights.
We distinguish optional marketing from information needed to complete a purchase. Refusing optional marketing does not prevent you from placing an order. If information essential to payment or delivery is not provided, we may be unable to complete the requested transaction.
6. Payments and Checkout Information
Payment information is processed through the payment services supporting the method you select at checkout. A payment provider may collect card or account details, billing information, authentication information, and information needed to detect fraud or comply with its legal obligations.
The information available to SHARKBBAG depends on the payment method and generally includes transaction references, payment status, billing details, and limited payment-method information needed to manage the order or refund.
Payment providers explain their own handling of personal information in their privacy notices. Do not send complete payment-card numbers, security codes, account passwords, or one-time authentication codes to our customer support email.
7. Shopify and Our Online Store
Our store uses Shopify to provide the ecommerce platform supporting the Services. Information about your visits, orders, payments, and interactions is shared with Shopify as needed to operate the store and provide Shopify services.
Shopify may act on our behalf for some processing and be independently responsible for other processing described in its own privacy notices. For example, choosing to use Shop or Shop Pay, where available, creates interactions with Shopify services that have their own terms and privacy information.
You can learn more in the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy: https://www.shopify.com/legal/privacy/consumers
You can also access Shopify's privacy tools at: https://privacy.shopify.com
8. Shopify Network Intelligence and Enhanced Services
If Shopify Network Intelligence is enabled for our store, Shopify may combine information about your interactions with SHARKBBAG with information from your interactions with other merchants and Shopify. This processing supports enhanced features such as personalization, service improvements, fraud protection, and advertising, depending on the services enabled.
Shopify and providers supporting these services may process information outside your country. Some advertising uses can constitute sharing or targeted advertising under applicable US privacy laws.
Your applicable consent and opt-out choices must be respected for this processing. You can exercise relevant choices through the store's available privacy controls or contact us at hello@sharkbbag.com. You can also use Shopify's privacy portal at https://privacy.shopify.com to exercise rights relating to Shopify's processing.
This section applies when those enhanced services are active; it does not mean every Shopify feature is used by SHARKBBAG.
9. Cookies and Similar Technologies
Cookies are small files stored on a browser or device. Similar technologies include pixels, local storage, and identifiers used to recognize sessions or record interactions.
The Services may use:
- Essential technologies to maintain shopping carts, process checkout, support authentication, remember privacy choices, and protect against misuse.
- Preference technologies to remember selected settings and improve convenience.
- Analytics technologies to understand how visitors use the store and identify areas for improvement.
- Advertising technologies to measure campaigns or support relevant advertising where enabled and legally permitted.
Some technologies operate only during a session; others remain for a defined period or until removed. A technology's purpose and the information it collects determine how it is treated, rather than its label alone.
Where prior consent is required, nonessential processing must wait until that consent is obtained. Essential processing remains limited to purposes necessary for the requested service or otherwise permitted by law.
10. Managing Cookies and Browser Choices
Use cookie or privacy preference controls displayed on the store to manage the choices they offer. You may also change browser settings to block or remove cookies. Blocking essential cookies can interfere with checkout or other requested functions.
You may withdraw consent for optional processing where consent is the basis for that processing. Withdrawal affects future processing and does not automatically invalidate processing lawfully performed before withdrawal.
Some choices apply to a particular browser or device, so you may need to repeat them when using another device or after clearing browser storage. Contact hello@sharkbbag.com if you cannot locate a control or want help applying a choice to information associated with your account or email address.
11. Google Services and Advertising Measurement
If you arrive through a Google Shopping listing or advertisement, we may receive referral and campaign information associated with that visit.
Where Google Analytics, Google Ads measurement, or related tools are enabled, Google may receive device and browser information, online identifiers, pages visited, and shopping events to provide analytics or advertising services. Processing depends on the tools used, applicable permissions, and your privacy choices.
Google explains its processing at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites and in its Privacy Policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
For supported browsers, Google provides an Analytics opt-out browser add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. This add-on addresses supported Google Analytics collection; it does not disable all cookies or all advertising technologies.
We do not use customer photographs or identifiable testimonials in advertisements without the permission required for that use.
12. Promotional Emails and Other Communications
We may send promotional emails when you subscribe or when another legally permitted basis applies. Where consent is required, we obtain it before sending the relevant marketing communications.
You can unsubscribe using the link in a marketing email or by emailing hello@sharkbbag.com. We honor unsubscribe requests promptly and within the applicable legal period, including within 10 business days where US CAN-SPAM or Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation requires that deadline.
Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop necessary order confirmations, delivery notices, refund updates, security messages, or responses to requests you submit. We may retain limited suppression information to avoid sending marketing to an address that has opted out.
Providing a telephone number for delivery does not, by itself, authorize promotional text messages.
13. Who Receives Personal Information
We disclose information when reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy, including to:
- Shopify and providers operating the ecommerce platform and associated services.
- Payment providers, banks, and fraud-prevention providers for payment administration, refunds, security, and disputes.
- Fulfillment providers, carriers, and delivery partners for packing, shipping, tracking, and resolving delivery issues.
- Technology and administrative providers supporting hosting, communications, customer service, recordkeeping, and store functionality.
- Analytics and advertising providers where the relevant services are enabled and the disclosure is legally permitted.
- Professional advisers, insurers, regulators, courts, or law enforcement when necessary for advice, legal obligations, or the protection of lawful rights.
- Parties involved in a potential or completed business restructuring or transfer, subject to appropriate confidentiality and legal safeguards.
We may also disclose information at your direction. Providers processing on our behalf must be subject to applicable restrictions on their use of the information. A provider acting independently may also have its own legal duties and privacy notice.
14. Contact Lists, Advertising Sharing, and Opt-Out Requests
We do not sell or rent customer contact lists. However, permitting an advertising or technology provider to collect identifiers and browsing or purchase activity can qualify as a sale, sharing, or targeted advertising under certain privacy laws, even without a payment for the information.
If such processing occurs, the information involved may include online identifiers, device information, website activity, purchase events, and related interests. Recipients may include advertising platforms and Shopify when relevant enhanced advertising services are enabled.
You may request an applicable opt-out by emailing hello@sharkbbag.com and stating that you want to opt out of sale, sharing, or targeted advertising. Where offered, you may also use the store's “Your Privacy Choices” or “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” control.
Opting out does not prevent essential order processing or disclosures that the law permits outside these advertising activities. You may still see advertisements that are not based on the processing you opted out of.
15. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track
We honor legally recognized opt-out preference signals, including Global Privacy Control, as required by applicable law. A recognized signal is applied to the relevant browser or device and, where required and reasonably possible, to an associated customer profile.
Older “Do Not Track” browser settings are different from recognized opt-out preference signals and may not communicate the same legally defined request. You can use the methods in this policy to express your choices directly.
16. Sensitive Information and Data Minimization
Ordinary shopping with SHARKBBAG does not require you to provide health information, biometric identifiers, religious beliefs, or a Social Security number. Please avoid including unnecessary sensitive information in messages or attachments.
Certain account credentials and payment information can be legally classified as sensitive. Such information is handled for the relevant account, payment, security, or legal purpose, subject to applicable restrictions. Any additional use requiring a specific notice or consent must satisfy that requirement before it occurs.
We limit collection and use to information reasonably needed for disclosed and lawful purposes.
17. International Processing
SHARKBBAG is based in the United States. Information may be processed in the United States, Canada, and other countries where Shopify or relevant service providers operate. Privacy laws in those countries may differ from the laws where you live.
We remain responsible for the obligations that apply to information under our control and use appropriate contractual and other safeguards where required. Information processed abroad may be accessible to courts, law enforcement, or government authorities under the laws of that jurisdiction.
You may contact hello@sharkbbag.com to ask about relevant international processing arrangements. Any legally required transfer safeguards or consent requirements apply separately from your decision to browse the store.
18. How Long Information Is Retained
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected and for applicable legal requirements. The criteria differ by category:
- Order, payment-reference, and refund records are retained for fulfillment, accounting, tax, dispute, and other required recordkeeping purposes.
- Account information is retained while needed to provide the account and handle related obligations.
- Support correspondence and attachments are retained to resolve the issue and address reasonably foreseeable follow-up matters or disputes.
- Technical and security records are retained according to their operational or security purpose.
- Marketing and consent records are retained as needed to respect preferences and demonstrate the permissions relied upon.
When information is no longer needed, we delete it, anonymize it, or otherwise dispose of it appropriately. Restricted backup copies may remain until their normal replacement cycle. A deletion request does not require removal of information that applicable law allows or requires us to retain.
19. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information involved. These include secure transmission for checkout and personal-information submission, controlled access, and restrictions on unnecessary disclosure.
No online transmission or storage system is completely secure. This does not limit our obligation to use appropriate safeguards or provide legally required breach notifications.
Contact hello@sharkbbag.com if you suspect unauthorized use of your information connected with our store. Do not include passwords or full payment credentials in your report.
20. Privacy Rights in the United States
Where applicable state privacy law covers the processing, you may have rights to confirm whether we process your information; access or obtain a portable copy; correct inaccuracies; request deletion; opt out of sale, targeted advertising, or certain consequential profiling; and appeal a refusal of a rights request.
Rights and exceptions differ by state. These provisions do not represent that every state law applies to every customer or transaction. We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.
Submit a request to hello@sharkbbag.com. If we deny a request, you may ask us to reconsider by replying and explaining the basis of your appeal. Where an appeal right applies, we provide the legally required decision and information about further complaint options.
21. Additional Information for California Residents
Where the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended, applies, California residents may request information about the categories and specific pieces of personal information collected, its sources, purposes, and relevant disclosures. They may also request correction or deletion, opt out of sale or sharing, and limit certain uses of sensitive information where that right applies.
Sections 3–18 describe the relevant information categories, sources, purposes, recipient categories, advertising choices, and retention criteria. Requests can be submitted to hello@sharkbbag.com without creating an account.
For covered access, correction, and deletion requests, the usual response period is 45 calendar days after receipt, with an additional 45 days only where legally permitted and with notice. Applicable sale or sharing opt-outs are processed as soon as feasible and within 15 business days.
Further information about California privacy rights is available from the California Attorney General: https://oag.ca.gov/privacy/ccpa
22. Additional Information for Canadian Customers
Where Canada's federal or provincial private-sector privacy laws apply, you may request access to personal information, challenge its accuracy, ask for corrections, and raise concerns about its handling. You may also withdraw consent, subject to legal or contractual restrictions and reasonable notice where applicable. We explain any resulting effect on a requested service.
We seek meaningful consent where required and distinguish purposes necessary to fulfill an order from optional marketing purposes. Consent is not required where a relevant law permits processing without it.
For access requests governed by PIPEDA, we respond within 30 calendar days after receipt unless a lawful extension applies. We provide any required extension notice and explanation. Applicable provincial deadlines and additional rights take precedence where relevant.
You may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the appropriate provincial privacy authority. The federal Commissioner's website is https://www.priv.gc.ca.
23. Additional Information for Customers in Mexico
Where Mexican private-sector data protection law applies, you may exercise rights of access, rectification, cancellation, and opposition, commonly called ARCO rights. You may also request withdrawal of consent or limits on use or disclosure, subject to applicable legal requirements.
Send requests to hello@sharkbbag.com, identifying the right requested and the information concerned. We will explain any proportionate identity or representation verification needed and respond within the applicable legal time limits.
Order fulfillment, payment, delivery, and related support are primary service purposes. Optional promotional purposes can be refused through the methods described above without affecting an otherwise available purchase. Transfers requiring consent will be subject to that consent unless a legal exception applies.
24. Verification, Authorized Agents, and Request Handling
For requests involving access, correction, or deletion, we may need to verify your identity by matching information you provide with existing records. We request only what is reasonably necessary and use verification information for handling and protecting the request.
An authorized representative may submit a request where applicable law permits. We may request evidence of authorization and, where permitted, direct confirmation from you. Opt-out requests are not subject to identity verification requirements prohibited by law.
We generally handle rights requests without charge. If the law permits a fee or refusal in a particular circumstance, we explain the reason before charging or declining. If we retain information or cannot fulfill part of a request, we provide an explanation to the extent legally permitted.
25. Automated Tools and Review
Our ecommerce and payment providers may use automated tools to identify fraud, detect unusual activity, or evaluate transaction risk. These tools can affect whether an order requires additional checks or a payment is accepted.
Contact hello@sharkbbag.com if you believe an order was affected incorrectly. We will review the information within our control and, where appropriate, direct you to the relevant payment provider. Any applicable rights concerning decisions based solely on automated processing remain available.
26. Children's Privacy
The Services are intended for a general audience and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact hello@sharkbbag.com so we can investigate and take appropriate steps, including deletion where required.
We do not knowingly sell or share for cross-context behavioral advertising the personal information of individuals under 16. Where applicable law provides additional protections for minors, those protections apply.
27. Reviews, Photographs, and Third-Party Services
If an available feature allows you to submit a public review, the content and display name you choose may be visible to other visitors. Avoid including addresses, order numbers, or other information you do not want published.
Photographs or messages sent privately to resolve a damaged-item or order complaint are not, merely by being submitted, permission for us to use them in public advertising.
Links to external websites and interactions with social networks or other independent services are subject to their own privacy practices. This policy does not replace those services' notices or remove our responsibilities for information we disclose to them.
28. Changes, Accessibility, and Complaints
We may update this policy to reflect changes in the Services, our practices, or legal requirements. The date at the beginning identifies the latest revision. We provide additional notice or obtain fresh consent where legally required before materially different processing begins.
If you need this policy in an accessible format, have difficulty exercising a choice, or believe your information has been handled improperly, email hello@sharkbbag.com. You may also complain to the privacy or consumer-protection authority responsible for your jurisdiction. Contacting us first does not remove any right to contact that authority directly.
